Turn south (left) at the lights in Dublin and proceed to the second concession line. Turn left and drive to the first sideroad. Then, turn right and the swamp is the bush bordering the road on both sides halfway to the next concession. The brown thrasher and woodcocks were heard on the southern edge of the swamp.
The Mitchell Lagoon can be reached from the centre of Mitchell by following Hwy 23 south to the edge of town. Turn left on Frank St., cross over the Thames river and park in front of the ball diamond on the right side just before the sewage treatment facility. The lagoon can be reached by walking several hundred metres to the south.

Golden Eagle, Snow Buntings - Sat, 25 Nov 2000 Yesterday while driving on Hwy 86 just outside of Listowel (~3 km south east of Listowel), I saw an immature Golden Eagle flying low over the highway at approx. 10 am. I also saw ~ 25 Snow Buntings at the same spot. I passed the same spot later in the day and there was no signs of the eagle.

Hudsonian Godwit at Wildwood near Stratford - Wed, 1 Nov 2000 Sighting reports originating from the ONTBIRDS mail server network are repeated courtesy of the Ontario Field Ornithologists (OFO).
Yesterday Ross Snider found a Hudsonian Godwit on the mud flats at the east end of Wildwood lake. It was there this morning, between 10 and 11a.m. The posting is late because of the "worm". The bird is west of the west bridge, which is one concession west of the village of Harrington, which is on county road 28. From #19, which runs between #7 and #2, turn east at the intersection in Uniondale. Watch for 29th line,( I think), and turn north to park by bridge. If you get to Harrington you need to turn back one road. Also there were many Dunlin, Killdeer, 2 Yellowlegs and a couple of Snipe. Greenwing Teal, and a pair of Mute swans with 3 young ones are at the east,(Harrington), bridge, along with several Great Blues.
