Hi, my name is Gord Gallant. I was born and raised, and educated in Toronto, and continue to work in the Greater Toronto Area. My roots are in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, but I consider myself a true Torontonian. I have a two siblings, including an identical twin brother named Greg, and a younger brother named Kevin. I live with my wife Patricia and our dog named Baldrick in the north east end of Greater Toronto area.

I have been very fortunate to have worked for large corporations in the computer industry, such as Unisys (formerly Univac and Sperry), BASF Canada Inc., and Tenex Data Inc.. With a total of 24 years of experience with these corporations, I developed a diversity of skills and gained experience in Customer Service, Marketing, Sales, Sales Support, and Product Management. I enjoyed the challenges that some of these positions presented, and enjoyed the interaction with fellow workers.

I took it upon myself to keep up with the growing trends, and have developed skills and experience related to the internet. Besides the technical and marketing aspect of computers and technology, my persoanl interests also include the relaxing pace of nature. Specifically, I enjoy bird watching (birding) and butterfly watching, and nature viewing in general. Over the years I have had the foresight and good fortune to incorporate my skills with my hobby and turn it into a career that I love - thus the creation of "Websites - Naturally".

The skills I acquired through corporate endeavors are a great match for the type of services I provide on the internet. I currently work for The Ontario Government, maintaining their intranet sites, and working on several projects that allow me to interact with staff from various ministries, divisions and departments. I now have a lot less time to devote to my own business and hobbies. When I do have some free time, I maintain web sites for my current customer base, and try to maintain my personal nature related web sites.

If you see me out in the field enjoying nature, or out and about taking care of business, don't hesitate to say hi. If you don't know me personally, here is a relatively recent picture of me. I don't get out birding or butterfly watching as much as I would like to any more, but if I am out and about it will likely be in Scarborough, Durham, or Point Pelee in the spring.

I am quite happy working for the Ontario Government. I get to use my technical skills, as well as interpersonal skills.
